What a fixed-term deposit on Algora is
A fixed-term deposit is money placed with a bank for an agreed period at an agreed interest rate. It does not trade and it does not follow the market: you know the rate and the end date before you commit.
It works differently from every other product on Algora:
- AI agents and the trading terminal put your platform balance to work inside Algora.
- A fixed-term deposit does not stay on the platform at all. You make a *request to invest* at the bank you choose. A financial adviser then opens a deposit account in your own name at that bank, and you transfer the money to it by SEPA bank transfer.
That is why the flow starts as an application rather than a click: opening a bank account in your name takes paperwork, and we handle that paperwork with the bank.
Your Algora platform balance stays untouched throughout — nothing is taken from it when you apply.
